Join Beth Mulligan PA-C and John Taylor for this 6-day, 5-night, silent teacher led mindfulness meditation retreat. Participate remotely from the safety and comfort of your own space as you  deepen your relationship to your own practice and your understanding of mindfulness.

Co-Sponsored by The Mindful Leader, this online mindfulness retreat meets the retreat requirements for numerous mindfulness based teacher training programs. And is also open to sincere practitioners who wish to cultivate their own mindfulness practice under the guidance of experienced teachers.

Program will include daily periods of meditation, mindful movement and yoga, and talks by the teachers. There will be plenty of time scheduled for meal breaks and self care. And there will also be  2 scheduled times to meet in a small groups with experienced teachers to discuss and gain support for your practice.

Pre-Retreat Evening Orientation:  Note schedule is on Eastern time. Subtract 3 hours for  Pacific time

Typical Retreat Days (Day 2 – Day 4)

  • 9:30 – 11:00 am: Morning practice

Beth Mulligan

Beth Mulligan

Beth Mulligan, PA-C is a certified MBSR teacher, teacher trainer, and adjunct faculty through the UMASS Center for Mindfulness. She has been teaching MBSR for over a decade to diverse populations; from the critically ill, to non-profit organizations, the underserved, educators, and corporate leaders. She currently teaches at the Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine at UCI and Insight LA. Beth teaches the 10-week and nine-day practicum for teachers in training nationally and internationally. Beth is a certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher and teacher trainer and does international training for the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion.

Beth has a background in primary care medicine as a Board Certified Physician Assistant having graduated Magna cum Laude from Duke University and has practiced medicine for over thirty years. She is a long time student of Charles Tenshin Fletcher, Roshi at Yokoji Zen Mountain Center where she has lived in residence. Beth is the Guiding Dharma teacher at Insight Community of the Desert and is a certified yoga instructor.

John Taylor

John Taylor

John Taylor is a Certified Teacher of MBSR as defined by the UCSD Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute. He has practiced Reiki, and other hands on healing modalities for over 30 years. John is currently a faculty member of the Innerwork Center in Richmond, Virginia where he teaches Mindful Based Stress Reduction, facilitates Silent Retreats and leads other mindfulness programs. In UCSD’s Mindfulness-Based Proffessional Training Insitites’ commitment and our offering of a Teacher Training for a cohort to BIPOC Teacher trainees; he brings a wealth of experience to guide the training. His trauma sensitivity makes him the perfect team member for our MBSR Program for Survivors Empowered  , 

John is an active member of the Greater Richmond community where a large focus of his work has been on racial equity, reconciliation initiatives, and facilitated community dialogues. He currently he serves as a director of Side by Side, an organization that provides supportive communities for Virginia’s LGBTQ+ youth as well as training, education and awareness programs for adults. John lives in North Chesterfield, VA with his partner, their three children (and three dogs).
