Mindful-Way's 9th annual Summer Mindfulness Retreat will be held at the world renowned Joshua Tree Retreat Center, in Joshua Tree, CA.
Join us for our weekend retreat with Meditation, Mindfulness and yoga practices. Use your innate wisdom to explore the world inside you and around you as you meditate, cultivate mindful awareness, practice yoga, eat delicious vegetarian meals and participate in creative workshops. The emphasis of this retreat is on the cultivation and deepening of mindfulness practice through mindfulness meditation and other foundational exercises from the world renowned mbsr program including body practices and yoga. These practices along with numerous less formal explorations will be used as ways to bring mindfulness alive in everyday life. The retreat will be led by Mindful-Way teachers Beth Mulligan, PA-C, Hugh O'Neill and their team of highly experienced guest teachers. And our schedule is designed to be suitable for people new to mindfulness and seasoned practitioners alike.

Covers 6 meals, all programs, and 2 nights accomodation.

Accomodation options will be available during registration.

All the accomodations are fully heated and air-conditioned. Bed linens, pillow, blanket, soap, and towels are also provided.
There is also a swimming pool and a large warm pool on site.

The Venue
Joshua Tree Retreat Center is the longest running retreat center in the western United States. And continues to hold an important place in the evolving consciousness movement, playing host to many of the great teachers of our age. It is also the home to the annual west coast Bhakti fest and Shakti fest.

Set on over 400 acres dotted with iconic Joshua Trees, many of the buildings at this famous retreat center were designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright and Sons.
And it's beautiful Sanctuary, meditation spaces, tree covered walkways, ponds, labyrinth, swimming pool and hiking trails make this a magical place to hold our retreat.


Weekend Retreat Schedule:
Friday afternoon through Sunday lunchtime.

Check in from 3:30PM on Friday,
Dinner 6:00PM, Program Starts 7:15PM.

This is a secular mindfulness, meditation and yoga retreat structured to cater to people of all levels of experience.
Beginners to meditation, mindfulness and yoga are welcome.

Being on Retreat

Being on retreat can be wonderful and relaxing. Our lives are so busy that it is easy to loose touch with the deeper aspect of ourselves.The time we spend on retreat can help us reconnect with our true nature. It also takes us out of our comfort zone and can therefore be challenging. It's a great opportunity to stretch yourself. There will be plenty of support for you from the leaders of the retreat.

The program will include periods of meditation, Body awareness practice including 3 Yoga sessions, walking meditation, writing exercises, and free time to hike, walk the labyrinth, explore the grounds or use the pools. There will always be coffee, tea and some snacks available between meals. You are welcome to bring your own snacks, however there are no refrigerators in the housing.
If you have special dietary needs please let us know 2 weeks in advance and we will do our best to accomodate you. Please contact us if you would like to discuss whether or not this retreat is right for you.

From our first experience of Nicole Wakim leading yoga during a day of Mindfulness retreat we knew she was going to be part of the Mindful-Way team. The seamless flow of more than 20 years of yoga practice combined with the attention of working mindfully, safely and painlessly while challenging and supporting students of every level to deepen their experience of yoga were exactly what you would hope to get from a mindful yoga teacher. Especially one who also happens to be a board certified anesthesiologist with her own pain management and sports injury clinic.

Suffice it to say that our mindful sound workshop has become an incredibly popular part of our Mindful Weekend Retreats. Noelle's skill, passion and sense of humor will take you and immerse you in a shared sound experience to remember. No prior talent of any type is required.
The Resounding Joy mission is to promote social, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing through music.
