Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Retreat
The Historic Joshua Tree Retreat Center

Mindful-Way's annual weekend mindfulness retreat will be held at the world renowned Joshua Tree Retreat Center, in Joshua Tree, CA.
Join us for our weekend retreat with Meditation, Yoga and Mindfulness practices. Use your natural awareness to explore the world inside you and around you as you meditate, practice yoga, eat delicious vegetarian meals and participate in creative workshops. The retreat will be led by mindfulness teachers Beth Mulligan, PA-C, Hugh O'Neill and their guest teachers.

The Venue:
Joshua Tree Retreat Center is one of the longest running retreat centers in the western United States. And continues to hold an important place in the evolving consciousness movement, playing host to many of the great teachers of our age. It is also the home to the annual west coast Bhakti fest and Shakti fest.

Set on over 400 acres dotted with iconic Joshua Trees, many of the buildings at this famous retreat center were designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright and Sons.
And it's beautiful Sanctuary, meditation spaces, tree covered walkways, ponds, labyrinth, swimming pool and hiking trails make this a magical place to hold our retreat.


Basic accomodation is a shared room with shared bathroom.
A very limited number of individual rooms with shared bathrooms are still available.
We also have some larger bedrooms for groups or families. Please contact us for group room arrangements.

All the accomodations are fully heated and air-conditioned. Bed linens, pillow, blanket, soap, and towels are also provided.

There is also a swimming pool and a large warm pool on site.

Weekend Retreat Schedule:
Friday afternoon through Sunday lunchtime.

Check in from 3:30PM on Friday,
Dinner 6:00PM, Program Starts 7:15PM.

Includes 6 meals, all programs, and 2 nights accomodation.

This is a secular mindfulness, meditation and yoga retreat
structured to cater to people of all levels of experience.
Beginners to Meditation and Yoga are welcome.

Being on Retreat

Being on retreat can be wonderful and relaxing. Our lives are so busy that it is easy to loose touch with the deeper aspect of ourselves.The time we spend on retreat can help us reconnect with our true nature. It also takes us out of our comfort zone and can therefore be challenging. It's a great opportunity to stretch yourself. There will be plenty of support for you from the leaders of the retreat.

The program will include periods of meditation, Yoga classes, writing exercises, walking and free time. There will always be coffee, tea and some snacks available between meals. You are welcome to bring your own snacks. If you have special dietary needs let us know 2 weeks in advance and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Celeste Brooke Young

Celeste teaches Basics of Mindfulness for InsightLA and has been meditating and practicing Yoga for more than a decade, including Yoga in the Hatha, Ashtanga and Anusara traditions. In 2006, she found a natural calling in teaching Yin Yoga while studying with Eckhart Tolle's partner, Kim Eng. Celeste received her certification to teach Yoga from Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley in 2007.

Mindful-Way Stress Reduction Programs conduct mindfulness retreats, and meditation and yoga retreats year round throughout southern California in both urban and rural settings. Our retreats which range from half day events to day long and weekend retreats offer a safe container to unplug from your daily routine and take time to go within, exploring meditation and yoga while being supported by experienced retreat facilitators. Mindful-Way provide numerous retreat formats, and usually include periods of meditation, relaxation, mindfulness and yoga, with awareness practices with didactic sessions and supportive group discussions. We also facilitate different modes of creative exploration in some of our retreats. And Mindful-Way also creates custom retreat programs to suit the needs of your organization or population.

Refund Policy: At Mindful-Way we try and keep our classes very affordable and as a general rule we do not issue refunds.
However in some cases we offer discretionary refunds (less a % processing fee) in cases of personal emergency or unforseen circumstances up to 8 days before Classes/Events.
No refund for week-of cancellation or no-show.
